The Tentacle Sync E Camera Mount V2 holds your Tentacle Sync E timecode box on your camera, cage or cheese plate, in whatever orientation suits your build. It does the same job as our original mount with one change: the brass 1/4"-20 insert is gone. In its place is a countersunk through hole, and a 1/4"-20 countersunk screw comes with every holder.

Why there is a V2

A threaded insert works well until you bolt it straight to a cage. You screw a male-to-male adapter into the mount, then into the cage, and wherever the thread runs out is the angle you are stuck with. On a tight build that is a real problem. Quick release clamps get around it by passing a bolt through the mount instead, so V2 does the same. You set the angle, then you tighten.

New in V2

  • Internal countersink. The screw goes in from inside the holder and its head sits down in the countersink, recessed in the cavity wall. Countersunk gives the best durability and keeps a low profile, so nothing pokes into the space where your Tentacle sits.
  • 1/4"-20 through bolt. The screw passes straight through the holder and into your cage or cheese plate.
  • 5.5 mm Allen key hole. A single through hole on the front face lines up with the screw, so you can reach it from outside with an Allen key and tighten it onto your equipment.
  • Any position, any orientation. Bolt it to your cage first, then turn the holder to any angle before you snug it up. Your timecode box ends up where you want it, not where the thread stops.
  • Hardware included. One black 1/4"-20 countersunk socket screw with every holder.

How to fit it

  1. Drop the screw into the holder from the inside so the head sits in the countersink.
  2. Hold the holder against your cage, cheese plate or any 1/4"-20 thread at the angle you want.
  3. Put an Allen key through the 5.5 mm hole on the front face and tighten the screw.
  4. Fit your Tentacle Sync E into the holder.

Same as the original

  • Durable black TPU with good weather resistance.
  • Cable management channels on both sides keep the timecode cable tidy, with no loose loops to snag on gear.
  • Two cable cut-out sizes to suit different timecode cable setups.

Which version do you need?

Want a fixed female 1/4"-20 thread in the base instead? The original Tentacle Sync E Camera Mount with the secure brass 1/4"-20 insert is still available. It is the simpler choice when you are mounting onto a ball head, magic arm, hot shoe adapter or anything with a male thread. Choose V2 when you are bolting straight to a cage or cheese plate and need control over the final orientation.

When your order ships

We pack Monday to Friday in Melbourne and ship with Australia Post. Order before 12:00pm AEST on a business day and your parts normally go out in 1 to 2 business days, often the next morning. During a big sale or a busy run that can stretch to 5 business days. That is the outside number, not the usual one.

How long it takes to reach you, counting from the day it ships:

  • Australia, express: 1 to 2 business days
  • New Zealand and South East Asia: 3 to 7 business days
  • United States and Canada: 5 to 10 business days
  • United Kingdom and Europe: 5 to 12 business days
  • South America: 10 to 15 business days

These are estimates, not guarantees. Customs and peak periods add time.

If the tracking stops moving

Once your parcel lands in your country it is handed to your national postal service, and our tracking link often stops updating at that point. That is normal: it has not been lost, it has just changed hands. Take the same tracking number and put it into your own country's postal site, which is the live one.

European Union

Since 1 July 2026 every commercial parcel is assessed regardless of value. Your carrier collects import VAT plus a flat customs duty before delivery, and will contact you by SMS or email with the amount. Please give us a mobile number at checkout so they can reach you, because a parcel they cannot reach you about is sent back.
